Everything started with the track Like That from the album We Don’t Trust You made by Metro Boomin and Future. In the lyrics, Future took shots at Drake while the surprise artist Kendrick Lamar took a shot at Drake and J. Cole, referencing the latest’s bar he said on First Person Shooter on Drake’s album : “Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?
We the big three like we started a league, but right now, I feel like Muhammad Ali“.

After that, a while later, J. Cole released an album Might Delete Later where he took shots at K. Dot which he later apologized for, which is quite absurd because Kendrick attacked first. However, Drake did not do the same. He released a track named Push Ups where he dissed Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross and others. Calling it a 20v1 where he points out how even though most rappers are taking shots at him, he can still responds and come out on top.

It is not the only feud happening right now in the rap game. The April 20th, Chris Brown released on YouTube Weakest Link, a diss track insulting and humiliating the rapper Quavo from the Migos. He mentionned an alleged sexual intercourse he had with Quavo’s ex girlfriend Saweetie while she was still in a relationship with him, he also said multiples insults and even mentionned his cousin’s death. He specifically said that most people would’ve rather seen Quavo died instead of Takeoff, his cousin.
